In the Year of the Dragon

Yet another enjoyable resource management game where players compete to earn the most victory points. Points are earned using various strategies within the game. The setting for the game is China where players are princes who build houses, and fill them with various individuals who play important roles during the game – laborers, warriors, craftsmen, monks, etc. An interesting caveat to the game are various obstacles each player must deal with as each month passes – drought, invasion, taxation and plague are among the issues you and your subjects will need to endure during the course of the game. Minimize the hardships while earning the most victory points to win the game.

I look forward to playing this again - it was a lot of fun and seemed to offer many ways of coming out as the winner. My particular strategy didn't work for my first game play, so I'll have to try something else next time!

One of the best games in the Alea big box series! The game play is unique and every game play is very different.
