Carcassonne: Hunters and Gatherers

Variant to the Carcassonne game where tiles are drawn and placed on a stone age map of the countryside that is built as the game progresses. Rivers take the place of roads, while hunting takes the place of farming and forests replace the castles of the original game. Otherwise, the game mechanisms are the same. Place your meeples on the board to earn victory points. Player who has the most at the end of the game is the winner.

I like the variation from the original. I miss the cloister scoring though.

It's nice to have a variant on Carcassonne, but the scoring becomes much more difficult to do for the end game because of the hunting aspect of the game. Despite owning this, I prefer the original.
