Munchkin

Players build a hand of cards used to fight monsters and advance through a dungeon to its exit. Beating monsters allow players to move up levels in the dungeon (as does certain cards earned / picked during the game). Others players can help or hurt their opponents chances of winning battles with monsters. The first player to reach the last level of the dungeon and defeat its monster is the winner.

as an aside - some homemade rules to govern how levels 8 through 10 play out could make this a much better gaming experience....or alcohol.

ehhhh - it was ok. The cards are funny - The premise of fighting monsters to move up levels is never a bad idea. But the end game is a little weak. Kind of like Run for your life candy man - survive the pain dealt out by monsters (and other players) enough til everyone runs out of cards to stop you from winning. OH and quite a contrast between 'DEAD' in this game and Buffy. One means go make yourself a sandwich and wait until the game is over while the other can actually reward you. Maybe it's all part of the corniness.
