Settlers of Catan

Resource management game where players establish towns and roads in order to earn Victory points. The first to earn 10 points is the winner. Building roads and towns is completed by using earned resources. Resources are distributed with each players die roll where the number on the die matches a game tile on the board. If anyone has a town on the number rolled, the resource on the card is earned. Players can also use resources to purchase development cards which can add to their victory point total.

As I play more different games, I find settlers falling down my list. I still like it and appreciate the games role in introducing Euro games to America!

Despite being a strategy game based on the randomness of dice rolling, I always enjoy Settlers each time we play it - It's a fun game.
