Agreed -- they are only compared because of similar mechanics, and Agricola is the better game. |

I think the Agricola and Stone Age comparison ends with the fact they are both worker placement games. I think Agricola is vastly superior to Stone Age. Agricola offers many more options and they increase each round. Stone Age is the same every turn. I like Stone Age but I love Agricola. |

Stone Age and Agricola are going to be compared to each other, as they are both worker placement games. I think my preference is Stone Age (due to play time), althought I think Agricola is the better game. |

I like your comment Scott. I think Stone Age is a much better game with 4 than with 3. In a 4 player game there are no restrictions in any area so the first 3 players could take the food counter, tools, and reproduction. Also with 4 players you can block out a player trying to get resources. Playing with less than 4 makes this a weaker game. |

There are so many resource management / victory point games and I seem partial to them all. I like that these games have so many different ways for players to win. The mechanics are ok, but it does seem repetitive for the first several rounds. The first player would be silly not to choose adding to his food counter as his first move. Usually the 2nd player would choose to add a hammer (which increases die roll counts). With 3 players, rounds looked the same far too often. I think 4 players may not change the first 2 player moves all that much, but make the 3rd and 4th player moves more strategical. Overall I liked it and would definitely play again. Pretty easy to learn and play |
