Tikal

Each players team of adventurers explores the jungle looking for treasures and temples. Points are earned by taking treasure or unearthing levels of Temples that have been hidden for centuries by the jungle. Temples can have a value from 1 through 10 and can be claimed by a team using a sentry. Temples, treasures, and campsites are randomly drawn as tiles that are placed on the board each turn. Players determine what actions their exploration team should take each turn in order to earn victory points. The player with the most victory points wins.

The auction option made this a much better game! Best also with 4 players.

I like this game although I didn't play it well the first time. Treasure is more important than I thought!

Has all the elements of a good strategy / victory point game. The first time through is always tough to get a feel for strategy, but I enjoyed playing. Should be quicker next time through and we have a better idea of what does/doesn't work
